HML delivers white-labelled card payment functionality

Leading financial outsourcer, HML, has added a secure online card payment facility to its white-labelled website service, so customers of its 50 clients can make payments and update their accounts online.
The self-serve platform is the only client branded service available for residential mortgages in the UK. It fully integrates with clients’ websites and was designed by online banking software specialists, Intelligent Environments.
HML’s research suggests that up to 30 per cent of the customers it manages on behalf of clients will use the online facility to:
· Make secure debit card payments
· Submit a request to change their mortgage term
· Amend direct debit details
· Request statements
· View Arrangement to Pay details
· Assess their own affordability with a budget questionnaire
HML’s IT director, Kim Brien, says the card payment development is proof of HML’s commitment to delivering a world class multi-channel business model, after the outsourcer launched the first phase of the online service last year:
“We have invested in the service to help our clients make it as easy as possible for their borrowers to meet repayment responsibilities in a way that suits them.
“Our design has been styled on platforms utilised by major UK banks so clients’ customers who already use online banking will be familiar with the concept and our white-labelled product means there is no multi-brand confusion for customers.”
Brien says the portal is indicative of the IT advances taking place at HML:
